Normal

I’ll have a more interesting post later but figured I’d get the update one out of the way and keep it separate from the other one.  Yesterday was a good day.  I walked around the house as if the operation never happened.  Oh, there’s still some effects, don’t get me wrong.  And waking up is hard on the body after sleeping through when I could be taking a pain pill.  But it all just felt…normal.  Well, except for one thing.  As I walked there was something off.  It wasn’t pain, just something out of place.  It took me the entire day of walking and trying different things to finally figure out what was going on.  One leg is longer then the other.  Now that I’m finally walking as I should its very evident that one leg is longer.  Its not a lot mind you, but the best way I can describe it is if you walked around the house with a tennis shoe on one foot and barefoot on the other.

Anyway, yesterday was just nice.

I’m glad you’re doing so well! Do you think the new hip has anything to do with one leg being longer, or was it always like that?

  2. Duality says:

That’s exactly the reason. The doc had told me post-op about it, but actually feeling it was not something I contemplated. They’ll get evened out once the left one gets done.
